3 HOURS FROM CAPE TOWN

Take the N2 from Cape Town towards George. Just past Swellendam and Buffelsjag River, take the left-hand turn-off towards Suurbraak/Barrydale. Continue through the town of Suurbraak and past the turn-off for Barrydale via Tradouw Pass. The tar road becomes a dirt road (limited cellphone reception). Continue to a T-junction, keep left towards Strawberry Hill/Strawberry Hill Farm and keep left at the next fork towards Strawberry Hill. Continue past Honeywood Farm. The next road to the left pass a metal gate will take you to the Strawberry Hill Farm office and the Grootvadersbosch Conservancy. This gate is locked after hours but just whatsapp and we will come and meet you.

We are often at that office during the day and if we are not there, someone there will know where we are to direct you to your accommodation. Or give us a call and we'll come and find you.

​If you continue on this road you will reach Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve Office (which means you’ve gone a touch too far). ​

2 HOURS FROM GEORGE

Turn off the N2 just before Heidelberg at the sign to Barrydale. 
Go through Heidelberg Town and continue over the railway line
Continue until road becomes gravel
Turn right to Strawberry Hill and Grootvadersbosch 
Continue straight, following signs to Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve and Honeywood and Strawberry Hill.
Continue past Honeywood farm.
